About Masha
I'm Masha, 17 years old, and currently studying at a UK school. I was born in Russia, so Russian is my native language – I've spoken it since I was born. I also attended a Russian school for six years, which gave me a strong foundation in grammar, writing, and literature. Recently, I completed my Russian GCSE and achieved a grade 9, so I know exactly what it takes to succeed in that exam. I love working with children and naturally find a way to connect with people of all ages. Being fully bilingual in Russian and English, I can explain things clearly and make learning feel comfortable and fun.

My tutoring approach is fully tailored to each student’s goals. First, I always ask why you’re learning Russian – your answer shapes everything we do. If you need Russian for speaking with family or travel, we’ll watch YouTube videos and movie clips, break down real dialogues, and practise natural sentences. We’ll also cover tenses and key grammar rules in a practical way. If you’re preparing for the Russian GCSE, we’ll focus on past papers, exam techniques, and structured speaking practice to build confidence. For young children, lessons become a playful adventure with games, songs, and colourful visuals – I believe kids learn best when they’re having fun. A typical lesson lasts 45 to 60 minutes, which I’ve found keeps energy and focus high. As for me, I’m a native Russian speaker (born in Russia) and a current UK school student, so I’m fully bilingual and understand both exam systems. I have experience helping classmates and younger learners, and I genuinely love working with kids. My lessons suit complete beginners to intermediate students, from young children to adults – everyone is welcome!
