About Benjamin
I have an Honours degree in Marine Biology with Oceanography from Newcastle University and as such have continued improving my knowledge of Biology, Chemistry and related subjects to the stage where I believe I can help improve your own levels of understanding. I have been taking statistics while at university and as such can also help with mathematics tutoring to the level of GCSE. I have A levels in Chemistry, Geography and Biology. I am an enthusiastic, warm and patient individual that has worked as a Scout Leader for 6 years helping me to be able to work with younger people in achieving their goals and helping deal with any hurdles that come their way. I would love the opportunity to help anyone achieve their goals.

My teaching method is questioning as I will try to help you reach the answers yourself with guidence from me. I would also say that I use analogies and try to take the material and put it into scenarios that are easier to understand, drawing on the knowledge any student has and apply it in a way which facilitates the learning and application of taught material to exam questions. I am patient and easy to communicate with and will adapt any approach to one which suits you. I believe that especially at GCSE level if you understand what a question asks of you then you are 70% of the way to giving a great answer. Thus I hope to give confidence to you both in recall and understanding, and in answering questions come exam time. I would also say that I have family teaching GCSE and A levels currently and have been taught and guided in exam approach and will continue to be allowing me to make sure that all of my energy focuses on the right areas for maximum benefit. This, I hope, should allow me to help improve your undedatdning and results to the standard you would like.
