About Lily
Hello! I’m Lily Zhang, a native Mandarin speaker and a postgraduate student in Inclusive & Special Education at Monash University. I want to teach Chinese because language opens doors to friendships, study, and work—and I genuinely love those moments when you “finally understand it, say it out loud, and write it smoothly.” My classes are relaxed and well-structured: I first make tones, Pinyin, and character structure clear, then use role-plays and small tasks so you can apply them right away. Every lesson includes quick checks and feedback so your progress is visible. I hold a WWCC (Working With Children Check) and First Aid certification, prioritize safety and respect, and provide bilingual support when needed to suit different learning styles and needs. If you want clear explanations, steady improvement, and a teacher who truly listens, I’d love to learn Chinese with you!
