About Surya
I’m Surya, a 4th-year medical student at the University of Manchester. I took 12 GCSEs and studied A-level Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths before going through the full medicine application myself: the UCAT, the personal statement and the interviews.
After four years at medical school, including time on clinical placements, I know what medicine is actually like day to day. That’s exactly what interviewers want applicants to understand. I’ll help you connect your experiences to the realities of the job, so your answers come across as genuine and well informed rather than rehearsed.
I’m patient and friendly, and honest with my feedback. I’ll always tell you exactly what to improve, so you walk into your UCAT or interview feeling prepared.

About the lesson
Getting into medicine has three big hurdles: the UCAT, your personal statement and the interview. I can help with all three. Sessions are one-to-one, built around your timeline, your target universities and your weakest areas.
Interview preparation (now booking for this year’s interviews)
Realistic mock MMI stations and panel interviews, timed and run like the real thing
Medical ethics (consent, confidentiality, resource allocation) explained clearly, so you can reason through any scenario
NHS hot topics and how to discuss them confidently
Role-play stations: breaking bad news, handling an upset patient, communication skills
“Why medicine?”, work experience reflection and teamwork questions, so your answers sound genuine, not rehearsed
Detailed feedback after every station, with clear points to improve
UCAT preparation
A strategy for each section: Verbal Reasoning, Decision Making, Quantitative Reasoning and Situational Judgement
Timing techniques, because most marks are lost to the clock, not to the difficulty
