About Louis
Hi, I`m Louis. I`m a 2nd year undergraduate student at the University of York Studying Business and Management Bsc, with a current 2:1 average.
I`ve got a range of experience teaching subjects that I enjoy, like Maths and Computer Science but I especially enjoy teaching Economics. In sixth form, I volunteered to help teach Economics where the assistant head described my teaching as 'exceptional'. With energy and passion and a little bit of humour this helps people learn effectively and that helped me to be elected head boy in Year 13 at Wilmington Grammar School. With this position, I organised and communicated with a range of people including organising school open evenings where more than 1000 prospective parents and students attend.

I'll start off by getting an understanding of your strengths and weaknesses at A Level. It's very important to understand this straight away so that we can prioritize the right topics. Although we will cover all topic areas, I start by focusing on these areas of understanding where we can see the biggest improvement in the shortest amount of time. I aim to always have lessons that are as fun and interesting as possible and I'm a big believer in letting you figure out problems for yourself so you have a full understanding of what you have learnt. Finally, we will do regular recalls of knowledge at the start of lessons, frequently using exam questions and larger tests every so often to reinforce the topics we cover.
