Sara was the best chemistry teacher I have had. She was encouraging, challenging, and never gave up until you understood the subject. She made her classes fun and catered to different learning styles. She fights for her students to create a safe classroom that encourages questions and growth. I truly believe she was made to be a teacher. She has touched so many lives and I miss learning in her classroom!
I've had Sara for college math and if it wasn't for her tutoring me I would not have gotten a 92% on my final exam. I recommend her because she cares about her students and the subjects she teaches. If I was able to take another class she taught I would have for my associate degree. If you have her as an instructor your in good hands.
After having worked with Sara, as a colleague, for the past several years at a local college, I can say with certainty that she is an excellent choice for a science, chemistry, or math tutor! Students, many of whom were my advisees, consistently say that she is the best instructor they have had. She is able to work with students at all levels to help them achieve success in their classes.
She has the uncommon ability to make complex concepts understandable while also making the learning process enjoyable. I give Sara my highest recommendation. If you choose Sara as a tutor, you will not regret your decision!I've had the pleasure of working with Sara Egbert at Walla Walla Community College for the past 15 years. Sara is an incredible instructor who is passionate about helping students learn. She has taught math classes, chemistry, and various other topics. She excels through her instruction by helping students gain the confidence that they need to complete her courses and prepare themselves for the nursing program. In my opinion, she is the BEST instructor anyone could hope to encounter. She makes the hard topics easy to understand! I strongly recommend her.
Sara is the most amazing professor I have ever had the pleasure in meeting! Sara was not only my chemistry professor, but also my guidance counselor. She always had an open door and open heart. Sara gave me incredible advice when I was in college and always vowed to keep my words private while I was talking. She keeps a safe space and a kind heart present every time I saw her!
I had Sara as my chemistry teacher while pursuing my nursing degree. She is incredibly knowledgeable, organized, supportive, and relatable. She created an environment of positive and constructive learning in her classroom.
I met Sara in 2016 when I started going to college to become an MA, I quickly switched gears and went into pre-nursing. I started my journey with very limited confidence in subjects like math, chemistry, and biology. I barely understood the basics of mathematics, I would often say “I hate math”, but Sara believed in me from day one and would encourage me to tell myself every time I struggled to find 3 things I liked about math. Through her patient and encouraging guidance, I progressed all the way through advanced topics like statistics, and she was there for every step.
Sara not only helped me understand chemistry and mathematics but also took time to support me with my biology questions, even when it wasn’t part of the core material she was responsible for. That kind of dedication made all the difference. I felt like I could go to her for anything and everything that was going on in life. She answered my emails on the weekends, would stay late at her office on campus if I had questions and always offered her large white board if I needed to work through my homework.
What truly set Sara apart was her belief in my potential, even when I couldn’t see it myself. She never gave up on me and constantly reminded me that I was capable. More than just helping me learn content, she taught me how to trust in myself and my abilities. She taught me a core belief of “self help is the best help”, and as a new nurse I live by these words and it gives me the confidence to talk to my preceptors, doctors, and other help care team members when I don’t have the answer because I know no one is going to help me more than myself if I don’t have an answer.
Thanks to Sara, in 2022 I walked across the stage and she handed me my Associate’s in Nursing from WWCC. I am thankful to her because I would have fell through the cracks at any other school. I am so thankful to be in my next phase of life and my dream job of being a RN. I am so grateful for the solid foundation and the confidence I never thought I’d have in myself, but she helped instilled in me. She didn’t just teach—she inspired, supported, and changed my path for the better. I’ll always be deeply grateful.
