I am a dedicated and approachable tutor with a strong academic background and proven teaching experience. Currently completing a Master’s in Applied Clinical Psychology at the University of Exeter, I achieved top grades at both A-level and GCSE. My tutoring experience spans Psychology, History, Physical Education, and English, where I focus on building knowledge, exam skills, and student confidence. I have worked with learners of diverse abilities, including through 1:1 and group tutoring, and hold the Gold Student Leadership Accreditation for my commitment to education. I take a student-centred approach, tailoring lessons to individual needs and learning styles. I focus on building subject knowledge while also developing transferable skills such as essay writing, critical thinking, and exam preparation. My teaching is interactive, supportive, and designed to boost both confidence and academic performance. My experience as a swim teacher and as a Coachlead has given me strong skills in adapting methods for diverse learners, including those with special educational needs, and in delivering clear, constructive feedback. Lessons typically last 60 minutes, allowing sufficient time to cover content in depth, practise skills, and consolidate understanding without overwhelming the student. I am currently studying for an undergraduate Master of Science in Applied Psychology (Clinical) at the University of Exeter, having achieved strong results in both my first and second years. At A-level, I achieved A* in both Physical Education and my Extended Project Qualification, an A in Psychology, and an A in History. In addition, I earned the Gold Student Leadership Accreditation for my work as a Coachlead, where I delivered both 1:1 and group tutoring sessions in English and Biology, further strengthening my teaching and leadership skills. Alongside this, I have significant experience as a Level 2 Swim Teacher with Wiltshire Council, successfully supporting a wide range of learners and building their confidence. I offer tutoring in Psychology, History, Physical Education, and English for secondary school and sixth-form students, particularly those preparing for GCSEs and A-levels. My lessons are suitable for learners seeking both subject support and strategies to improve confidence, motivation, and academic performance.
