About Varun
I am a third year undergraduate at the London School of Economics, on track for a First Class degree in Economics. Outside of academics, I have gained hands-on experience in the corporate world through an internship in Corporate Finance and Strategy at Micron Technology, one of the largest semiconductor companies in the United States. This summer, I will be joining Wells Fargo in their Technology Investment Banking division. I am passionate about maths and believe that a strong foundation in quantitative thinking is invaluable, whether you are preparing for GCSEs, A-Levels, or simply looking to build confidence with numbers. I enjoy tutoring because it allows me to share that enthusiasm and help students see maths as something approachable rather than intimidating.

I offer tailored maths tutoring for students from primary school through to A-Level, covering everything from basic arithmetic to Further Maths topics like pre-calculus. As a final year LSE student achieving First Class Honours in Economics, I bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills to every session. My approach focuses on building genuine understanding rather than rote memorisation — I break down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps and use real-world examples to make maths feel relevant and engaging. Each lesson is adapted to the student's pace and learning style, with a mix of guided practice and independent problem-solving to build confidence. I am based in Kensington (W8) and happy to travel across Central London for in-person lessons, or teach online via Zoom. Lessons typically run for one hour, though I am flexible depending on the student's needs.
