I am currently working towards getting a bachelors degree in Marine Biology. I've taken advanced placement courses in a bountiful of classes such as Art History, English, Literature, etc. I've tutored for about four years now in a wide range of classes from creative writing, all the way to biology.

Usually when tutoring, the first time I speak to a student I like to get a general idea on what subjects they struggle with, and then a very specific understanding of why they are struggling. I've learned that sometimes a student actually understands the material, but can't apply it well to a problem or a real life situation. I firmly believe repetition is the key to learning. I also like my students to do a lot of hands on work, even though these are virtual sessions, I think working on things rather than just listening is more efficient.a
