About Ibitoru
Hi, I'm Ibitoru! I'm a university graduate from Memorial University of Newfoundland, and I love helping people learn and grow in confidence.
I've taught students of different ages, from young children in primary school to high school students, both one-on-one and in small groups. Through this, I've learned how to explain things clearly, stay patient, and adapt to each learner's needs.
Communication has always been a big part of my life. My work in customer service and sales has given me strong everyday English skills and a good understanding of the English people actually use at work and in daily life. I'm also learning French myself, so I know firsthand what it takes to learn a new language and how to make the process less stressful.
I'm friendly, reliable, and committed to my students' progress. I come to every lesson prepared, I listen carefully to your goals, and I give honest, encouraging feedback. My aim is for you to leave each lesson feeling more confident and ready to use your English in real life.

Hi, I'm Ibitoru, a university graduate (Memorial University of Newfoundland) who has taught students from primary school to high school. I help learners speak, read, and write English with confidence.
My approach: I start by finding out your level, your goals, and what you find difficult. Then I build lessons around you, whether that's conversation, grammar, vocabulary, reading, or writing. I use real-life situations, clear explanations, and plenty of speaking practice. As a language learner myself (I'm studying French), I know how it feels to learn a new language, so I'm patient and encouraging, and I make it comfortable to make mistakes.
A typical lesson:
A warm-up conversation to get you speaking
A review of the last lesson or your homework
A new topic, such as grammar, vocabulary, or a skill like writing or pronunciation
Practice through speaking, exercises, or short writing tasks, with my feedback
A recap and a plan for next time
What sets me apart: I adapt to each student's age, level, and pace. I focus on practical English you can use right away, at school, at work, or in everyday life in Canada. My goal is real progress and confidence, not memorizing rules.
