Hannah is a wonderful combination of personable and professional. Our son was feeling overwhelmed with GCSE preparations and didn’t want extra tuition, however after just one sessions with Hannah, he never complained about it and would be ready for her sessions without our prompting and enjoyed them. She inspired him to do better, and had magical way of getting through to him. No end of times school teachers had told him to show his workings out and in just a few lessons Hannah had him finally doing this! A great teacher and a great help to Luca with his maths.
Hannah is really organised and prompt to lessons that she had evidently spent time planning and preparing. Because of this she managed to cover a lot in the hour. She anticipated topics our son might struggle with and suggested class plans to him. She would engage with him, asking him to tell her topics he felt they should go over.
Overall a fabulous teacher and we look forward to having her back when A Levels begin.

She supported my son through his GCSE year (during the COVID lockdown!) and her qualities and energy kept him on track during the most difficult and challenging period. She has a lovely and open way of engaging interest for the entire session, and working from the abilities and knowledge of her tutee. Her focus and commitment to the learning is evident from the beginning – no time is wasted! Hannah’s competence and intellectual abilities are very impressive. It was a real pleasure to have her working with my son in the house, and then on Zoom. She offered support for exam preparation and working through papers, including providing worked examples to help with reviewing learning, given the lack of school face time. Hannah tutored and supported me at university. She simplified degree level maths and broke it down in to manageable chunks building on much simpler techniques developed throughout school. She ensured that my understanding was sufficient to adapt to questions arising on exam papers.

She was professional yet approachable, understanding and patient. She holds academic teaching experience but also has experience of using maths in a commercial environment.

Hannah is an excellent maths teacher. She can teach up to A level standard but can also give lessons to students of any ability. She also has experience in the finance world following her university degree in maths.
