About Jason
My name is D. Jason Couch, and I am a certified Composite Science Teacher with a Master’s in Science Education, an Administrator Certification, and years of experience teaching and tutoring students from kindergarten through 12th grade. My passion is helping students not only understand science, but also see how it connects to the world around them. I specialize in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Earth & Space Science, and Environmental Science, and I tailor my approach to fit each student’s learning style—whether they need extra support, want to strengthen their foundation, or are ready to be challenged at a higher level. My Administrator Certification gives me a broader lens and wider scope as an educator. It allows me to see beyond the classroom—to understand student growth, curriculum design, and long-term success from multiple perspectives. This bigger-picture view helps me guide students not only in mastering science concepts, but also in developing the skills and confidence they’ll need for their future. With a background as both an educator and a coach, I bring patience, encouragement, and clear explanations that make even the toughest science concepts easy to grasp. My goal is to help every student build confidence, develop critical thinking skills, and discover the excitement of learning science.
