About Catherinegp
Teachers are facilitators making things happen in the classroom and outside. Knowledge remains incomplete until it is taught; teaching continually improves one's knowledge and enrichment. I am more a mentor and organizer of learning experiences and situations, such that my students actively understand, reinvent, and reconstruct everything they learn, than a simple transmitter of ready-made and established truths imposed on them from outside. This means that I make use of the active methods, not the traditional or conservative ones, and appeal to due technology when it is.

As a teacher I would prefer inquiry-based learning and project-based implementation methods of learning. It is an exciting subject with experiments, visual learning, and projects. Students can easily understand things when they can relate their studies to the real world. Science is not a theory-based subject; it requires creativity and practical knowledge. Once you find a student not able to understand a particular concept, you should be ready to adapt new methods of teaching to explain to them. I feel that a teacher should act as a guide to allow the student to choose his method of learning. He should share his experiences and ideas about learning, which makes the teaching-learning process easy. Teachers are facilitators making things happen in the classroom and outside.
