London Film School visiting lecturer and professional screenwriter offers script consultancy and mentorship.

I taught Ottilie when she was an MA Screenwriting student at London Film School. I have watched, with great pleasure, as she has established herself as a successful screenwriter for film and television and as an insightful and empathetic script editor. It's also been my great pleasure to invite her to teach and mentor my recent and current MA students, where she brings her screenwriting talent, current industry experience and her empathetic and collaborative capacities to bear in the service of emerging - and more experienced - screenwriters and their projects. She is great on idea generation and development, characterisation, structure, theme and dialogue, how to build a career and at inspiring and generating confidence in all of those she works with.

Ottilie has been mentoring me and helping me develop scripts for four years now. I have been working on two main projects, one of which is a screenplay which is very personal to me. Ottilie has worked with me on multiple drafts and her feedback has been invaluable, especially for helping me develop the overall structure of the script. She has kept the big picture in mind at moments when I've been bogged down in the details and unable to see the wood from the trees!

She often helps me to ask the questions I've been avoiding, and is both highly adept, and also very kind (!), when getting me to think critically about my work.

What I also love about working with Ottilie is her belief in the worlds I wish to build through my screenplays. This makes it so easy to share new ideas, try things out and take risks in my work.

Ottilie is a great tutor, very supportive of her students and always delivering high-quality sessions, full of advice and recommendations, as well as interesting notes/comments about how to improve one's work. She is a dedicated writer and eager to see students' thrive. I absolutely recommend her!
