About Jess
I have been an independent Singer-Songwriter for approx. 5 years as of 2023, and have been surrounded by music my entire life. I have a strong drive to pursue music as a career and will do my utmost to help nurture your love of the art too.
Particularly interested in folk-music at the moment, I have experience in rock, pop, folk, indie, alternative and RnB vocals. As a songwriter, I currently sway toward the indie-folk genre, but am passionate about all music.

VOCAL PERFORMANCE
- Specialising in preparation for live performance, I can analyse your setlist/any performance you want to improve - and holistically suggest ways to improve your performance.
- Includes vocal warmups with a full personalised guide of your own warmups sent after each session.
- Examples of specialties: mic technique, vocal control, increasing vocal range, posture, warmups, vibrato, breath control, confidence, movement on stage.
- Sessions are typically 2 hours long. ~30/40 mins warmup, ~20 mins setlist runthrough and discussion of areas to improve, ~1 hour practice and technique.
SONGWRITING
- Specialising in feedback for pre-written songs, session lengths and structure will vary depending on age and level.
- Beginner lessons will include creative writing techniques, structure and form, basic chords and arrangement, lyrical devices.
- Intermediate lessons will cover more analysis of songs written using techniques learned, and enhancing music with cohesive thought skills.
- Hybrid lessons are half technique and half analysis and feedback (split approximately in the time-frame agreed).
- Advanced lessons are largely feedback sessions as you should have a strong foundational knowledge of songwriting skills. We will critically analyse your songs to your specific genre and style and hone your own craft as a writer.
Performance and Songwriting can be combined as a Fusion Session where we practice your pitching of a song alongside analysing your songs in a more formal sense.
