About Jenna
I was born and raised in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in the heart of Amish country. My parents were raised Amish, so I am a first-generation college student with a passion for learning. I attended the University of Richmond in Virginia, then graduated in May 2025 with a degree in journalism. The day after graduation, I moved to Brunswick County. I then began work two days after that at the Brunswick Beacon newspaper. You can read my work online, I publish multiple stories per week. I am tutoring to earn extra money on the side while sharing my expertise with students who have dreams just as big as I did.

My lessons are for people pursuing a post-secondary education or looking to improve their writing skills. My writing skills got me into several prestigious institutions, and I graduated with a degree in journalism as a first-generation student. I can help write essays, proofread and teach about the English language and grammar. I have a full-time job writing for the local newspaper, so I write for a living - I love it. I want to help other people pursue their dreams as well by sharing my experience and expertise through goal-oriented sessions. I am an encouraging and patient teacher. I will not do the work for the student, but rather help them see the potential they already have and teach them the language rules they need to know.
