About Harrison
With 17+ years of experience as a Piano tutor, I teach school students, college students, and working professionals. I am committed to helping learners make steady progress while enjoying the process of learning music.
I believe every learner has unique needs, so I avoid using the same teaching method for everyone. I first understand the student's current level, musical goals, interests, learning style, practice routine, and difficulties. I then adjust my lessons to provide the right level of challenge and support.
My lessons include piano fundamentals, finger exercises, hand coordination, scales, chords, rhythm, music theory, note reading, sight-reading, ear training, song practice, improvisation, and performance preparation.
I use simple explanations, demonstrations, guided practice, and practical musical examples. I encourage students to connect theory with actual playing so they can understand and remember what they learn.
My teaching philosophy is based on patience, communication, flexibility, understanding, and motivation. I encourage learners to communicate openly and ask questions whenever they need help.
I also teach effective practice and time management. Students learn how to organize their sessions, set realistic goals, identify difficult sections, and work consistently toward improvement.
A notable achievement in my 17+-year teaching career is gaining experience with students from school, college, and professional backgrounds. This has helped me develop strong adaptability and mentoring abilities.
My goal is to help learners become confident, creative, disciplined, and independent piano players. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced learner, I provide personalized lessons that focus on your musical interests and goals.

My piano teaching methodology is built around Adaptation to Learning Styles, Flexibility, Collaboration, and Positivity. I aim to develop both technical skills and musical understanding so students can play with confidence and expression.
I begin by assessing the student's current piano ability, musical experience, learning preferences, and goals. Beginners learn proper posture, hand position, finger control, notes, rhythm, scales, chords, and simple pieces. Experienced students can develop advanced technique, sight-reading, interpretation, expression, and performance.
I use demonstrations, written examples, listening exercises, repetition, and practical piano work. I explain technical concepts clearly and connect them with musical expression.
Flexibility allows me to adjust lesson pace and difficulty based on individual progress. I provide additional practice for challenging skills and introduce new material when students are ready.
I encourage collaboration by allowing students to choose suitable pieces, discuss their interests, set goals, and review their progress.
My positive approach helps students stay motivated and comfortable. I encourage them to learn from mistakes and focus on steady improvement.
Besides piano, I can teach music theory, keyboard skills, rhythm, chords, sight-reading, ear training, basic composition, and music appreciation. My goal is to create well-rounded musicians who can combine good technique with musical expression
