When I first began my classes with Riya, I had been self-learning Bengali for a couple of years and felt kinda stuck without a teacher. From the first lesson she was able to pick up my current level and propose classes and topics that were fit for my needs. I feel I'm making so much progress already! She's a kind, patient and gentle person, always available to reply to the weirdest questions (and I have many!). Her explanations are clear and the classes well structured, along with the materials and homework she provides.
Aside from this, I felt that she was truly understanding of the hardships in language learning, which isn't an easy task. Her approach to teaching is motivating and gently encouraging all the time, while at the same time being aware of the tough spots that her students might encounter along the way. On some days it's hard not to lose motivation in facing the difficulties of the language and thinking "it's too difficult for me, I can't do it" - it's pretty common. And Bengali isn't that easy if, like me, your mother tongue is a romance language. But her fun and engaging classes never fail to cheer me up. It's a pleasure for me to sit down for my weekly lesson and then later to do my homework. I'm looking forward to our future classes, and I'm wishing all the best to Riya for her teaching career ️

I have been taking lessons from Riya since a long time. Before this I had tried other portals but they all begin with very boring grammar. Since I wanted to learn only conversational Bengali we Riya and I worked out a plan to suit me and it kick started wonderfully !
She is patient and very positive and will take things at the pace you want. An ever smiley person who will guide you properly. She even sends me WhatsApp voice notes if I have made pronunciation mistakes.
