About Mikayla
Hi there, I'm Mikayla. I’m a lifelong artist with a deep passion for creativity and a love for the world around us. From the vibrant colors and textures of nature to the rich stories in history, the rhythms of music, and to the joy that travel and food brings, I find inspiration in everything—and I bring that energy into my teaching. I found my escape, my safe space and myself in art when I wasn't the best at other things in school, and I believe that art is not just about creating something beautiful; it’s about the process of expressing who you are and exploring the connections between ourselves and the universe. My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and tailored to each student’s unique strengths and interests.
