About Shmuel
WELCOME TO THIS SPACE: If you have ever felt a pull toward Hebrew - whether as a curious beginner or someone looking to dive into the vast oceans of it’s literary and cultural creations - I want to share a bit of my story with you. I hope it serves as proof of just how deeply this language can enrich your mind, your analytical thinking, and your soul.
DUAL ROOTS, DUAL PATHS: I was fortunate to be born in Buenos Aires into a family where Hebrew was alive, spoken, and cherished. From the very beginning, my life walked on two seemingly parallel tracks: while I pursued my formal studies in Economics, I simultaneously dedicated myself to deepening my cultural roots. From a young age, I stepped into the classroom to teach in Jewish schools, eventually directing courses for an institution affiliated with the Government of Israel. What I discovered early on is that language is never just vocabulary; it is a lens through which we view reality.
A GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE SHAPED BY LANGUAGE: My life’s work eventually took me across the globe. I spent years serving as a leader in Jewish organizations, and I spearheaded the founding of various Hebrew media outlets. Professionally, my path as an economist and government advisor brought me close to political power and allowed me to witness firsthand the diverse, complex realities facing communities worldwide.
YOU MIGHT WONDER: what do economics and global politics have to do with an ancient and nowadays modern language? The answer is: everything! My devotion to this language didn't happen in a vacuum. Even while traveling the world for my professional career, I maintained a constant presence as a teacher, carrying my interest in Hebrew authors with me to diverse international locations. My connection to Hebrew since childhood allowed me to read Jewish history not just from textbooks, but through the very nuances of this language and engaging with it gave me sharp, analytical tools to understand the world better.
WHY YOU SHOULD STEP TO THE TABLE: We are currently living in a period of accelerated historical transition. The events unfolding around us are breaking away from patterns established over the last 1,500 to 2,000 years. This shift profoundly alters how we relate to the outside world and even how we understand ourselves.
To navigate an era like this, standard thinking isn't enough. My own interpretations of history and current events are often counter-current or unconventional - yet time and again, looking at the world through the sharp lens of Jewish history - that of the Biblical “Hebrews”, and their language, has proven remarkably accurate.
THIS IS MY INVITATION TO YOU:
1- Sharpen Your Thinking: Dialoguing through Hebrew has an inherent capacity to challenge your mind and sharpen your intellect.
2- Connect with Emotion and History: This tongue is uniquely charged with human history, deep emotion, and centuries of accumulated wisdom.
3- Unlock Great Creations: Beyond the grammar lies a breathtaking universe of literature, poetry, debate, and philosophy waiting for you to explore.
Think of this virtual space as a vibrant table for learning and debate. Whether you want to master the language as a practical tool for study, or you simply want to approach the monumental creations written in it, here is the place for you. Let’s use this beautiful language to challenge our assumptions, enrich our minds, and discover something profound together.

You'll enjoy every lesson!!! Take a first free lesson to check on your own. Hebrew is an easy and efficient language! It provides: – with its own alphabet and logic - a different and amazing way of thinking. You'll become passionate when entering the daily language, with just a short vocabulary. • It’s a language that works based on roots which give rise to verbs, nouns and adjectives. • The language, as it rests on a limited number of roots, has very regular patterns of transformation of these roots. Once you know how a certain root works you immediately know how all similar roots do. This is very useful in order to understand how a certain root becomes a verb, an adjective or a noun, and all similar roots work the same way! • Hebrew writing includes consonants and vowel signs, but words and texts are also read when written with no vowels. This reading ability is obtained progressively and it is a seamless and easy process. • Learning to read implies developing a powerful cognitive ability which consists of recognizing what is being read when going through a text very fast. This drives the mind to work in a way different from traditional literal reading. • Biblical language is the same as that used today. But on the other hand the modern language is based, in most cases, on the same roots on which the biblical language is based. One can enter Hebrew through the modern language door or from biblical language. It’s the same Hebrew. • Hebrew is simple and it has no pronunciation secrets. All letters and words are always read the same way. A summary of my program: - Street and work Talk. - With family, friends. Shopping and numbers. - On the plane, on the bus and on trips. - What is the biblical text like and what do songs say.

No doubt she'll master a good Hebrew, not only street language, We might find ourselves talking about poetry, songs and about literature pieces in the summer...Shmuel's response :

Excelente profesor.
A good experience: when I arrived to Israel as a tourist, my Hebrew was slower, but better than street language! We made it in 6 months. Samuel is tough... but helpful & friendly: from the beginning he made me think in Hebrew.
