I am a life sciences post-doctoral research associate, with a background in cancer sciences, medical sciences and general biology. I am keen to teach in a broad range of life sciences on an online basis.
I have extensive experience with teaching students within my job role and in previous roles in an academic setting. Previously, I have worked with university students with additional learning needs as an academic notetaker and in examination support. In 2024, at the University of Glasgow, I was awarded 'Associate Fellow' of the Research Excellence and Teaching (RET) award, which is given to teaching/research staff based on the assessment of teaching practice. My experience is with adult learners primarily and I focus my tutoring services for this audience.
Lessons would be online. I can offer support with teaching materials and also create materials which the student may desire, as per needs. It is very important for me to adapt my tutoring style to the needs of the individual student, to ensure their benefit from the sessions.
