About Chelsea
I started my career with animals working at a busy animal shelter. Starting as a kennel tech, I worked up to become the Shelter Medicine Coordinator, and then the Animal Care Department Supervisor. Shelter medicine teaches you a lot that books will not! After moving across the country, I began working for a specialized veterinary surgeon. This involved assisting with orthopedic and other specialty surgeries. Scrubbing in, monitoring anesthesia, writing surgical reports, and understanding drug interactions were a huge part of this role. When I decided to become licensed, I took on a role as a Vet Assistant at a general practice clinic that also saw a lot of exotics. This gave me a well-rounded experience that prepared me for success and I passed my VTNE on my first attempt in June of 2020. Currently, I am developing a canine physical rehabilitation program at a new clinic, and working towards earning my CCRP.
Having my LVT credential has opened up a lot of opportunities for me. I would love to see more passionate, licensed vet techs in the veterinary field! I want to encourage people and help them learn what they think they can’t. Whatever roadblocks are holding you back academically can be destroyed! You can do it!

I want to help you learn whatever it is that you are struggling with! Whether that is Latin names of parasites, drug calculations, or how to identify certain cells under a microscope, I am here to help! The lesson plan and teaching methods will vary by student need and learning style. I am focusing on helping students who are working towards earning their Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology, as well as those studying for the VTNE. I want every student to come out of a lesson feeling prepared for their upcoming assignment or test. Your success is my success!
