About Cynthia
My teaching philosophy is simple: every student can succeed with the right support, encouragement, and personalized instruction. I focus on creating a positive, patient, and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing at their own pace. I tailor each session to the student’s short-term goals, such as improving a specific skill or preparing for an upcoming assignment, while also keeping long-term goals in mind, such as building confidence, strengthening independence, and developing lifelong learning habits.
Beyond the classroom, my service in the United States Air Force strengthened my leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. These qualities help me stay calm, adaptable, and focused on student success.

I bring over 15 years of teaching and mentoring experience from classrooms in Germany, England, Texas, and Louisiana, where I worked with students from diverse backgrounds and learning styles. I specialize in supporting elementary and middle school learners, as well as high school students who need help strengthening reading, writing, study skills, and foundational math. I also enjoy helping students prepare for exams and build confidence in their academic abilities. In addition to the in-person experience, I am comfortable providing online instruction and using virtual tools to make learning interactive, effective, and engaging.

It is my genuine pleasure to recommend Ms. Cynthia Law.
Cynthia and I worked closely together for five years, from 2011 to 2015, and during that time she consistently demonstrated the highest level of professionalism, instructional skill, and dedication to student success.
Cynthia brings a wealth of international experience to her work. She has taught in England and Germany, where she developed a strong understanding of diverse educational systems, student backgrounds, and curriculum standards. This global perspective makes her exceptionally effective at building inclusive, culturally responsive learning environments.
As both a classroom teacher and school administrator, Cynthia excels in leadership, communication, and collaboration. She has a talent for forming strong relationships with students, colleagues, and families. Her students benefit from her ability to differentiate instruction, maintain high expectations, and create engaging lessons that support academic growth and social-emotional development.
Cynthia is an innovative problem solver who balances structure with warmth. She models professionalism both in and out of the classroom. I have always admired her integrity, her tireless advocacy for students, and her ability to bring out the best in a campus community.
I’ve had the pleasure of working with Cynthia Law when she purchased her home in 2022, and every interaction since has shown me just how detail-oriented, thoughtful, and reliable she is. Cynthia’s ability to communicate clearly and her care for others always stand out — she’s patient, professional, and genuinely invested in helping people succeed. She’s also been so kind and engaging with my young daughter, Ella Rose, which speaks volumes about her warmth and empathy.
If you’re looking for an English tutor who combines expertise with heart, I can’t recommend Cynthia highly enough. Her professionalism and compassion make her a standout in any setting.View more recommendations
