About Ambikaa
I am currently a 2nd year medical student & have been teaching Biology (and piano) since 2021. Recently I have also been aiding in interview preparations for aspiring Medical applicants. During my experience with A-levels, I found it challenging to acclimatise as it was a big jump from GCSE, however I quickly understood that A-Level biology requires you to work efficiently and not be drowned in the vast amount of content. In my sessions I not only focus on teaching the specification, but I also guide my students on HOW to study effectively through application, active recall and exam technique. Although I believe that remembering the material is essential, it is being able to thoroughly understand and manipulate the content which gets you from an A to an A*. I hope to bridge this gap for you by helping you understand how to be more efficient in your studying so you can work smarter, not harder.

- Each session will be tailored to your needs so I will ask you in advance what you would like to cover
- Exam question practice (arguably the most important part)
- Build your confidence! I will never shame you for being incorrect and I always try to make these lessons a safe space for you to succeed :)
- I like to implement active recall in each session so my lessons are very interactive so I won't just be talking at you for an hour.
Although knowing the content is very important, it is crucial that you don't overlook establishing healthy and smart study habits. Hence, I will also work with you to create a study plan/schedule/revision material that will best help you!
