About Mohid
I am a Year 13 A Level student, in my final year of sixth form, aspiring towards and enthusiastic about doing medicine in the future. Having consistently achieved the highest grades, and having experimented with multiple methods of revision, I now possess the skills and knowledge to effectively tutor students - not just teaching them content, but equipping them with the learning skills and independence vital for future study and academic brilliance. After seeing many of my classmates struggle with revision, I began to offer help to as many as I could, and realised my passion for teaching and helping others - I then gained experience as a GCSE tutor, managing classes and providing 1-to-1 classes. As a tutor, it would not only be my responsibility to teach material, but also to teach the most effective ways of revision, meaning that students gain a sufficient understanding of how to efficiently learn, memorise and practise what they are taught, ultimately achieving academic confidence. My young age means I am able to offer a fresh, relatable perspective; I completely understand the struggles students face, with the massive load of content to memorise, alongside the difficulty of applying this knowledge within an exam. Having faced and overcome these issues very recently, I am able to help others in doing the same, confidently and proficiently.

Passionate about tutoring and making sure that students make the most out of their revision, I am an organised and efficient tutor. Teaching GCSE Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics, lessons would last around 60-90 minutes, up to 2 hours. Before the lesson, it would be great if you could message me in advance, as to what subject and topic you wish to revise. Thus, I can prepare any exam question or material for you to use during the lesson. My teaching methodology is effectively structured: it would ensure you have complete, detailed knowledge within the topic you want to learn, providing a foundation. This would be done using methods such as active recall and spaced repetition, where you are asked, after having been taught the topic in enough detail, to repeat and explain certain parts of the material back to me, meaning that we can ensure you understand the material completely. This would be done regularly, ensuring your ability to retain key information. The next step would involve exam practice. Learning how to accurately phrase answers as succinctly as possible, under the pressure and intensity of an exam setting, is a vital skill for academic success.
