About Robin
Hi, I'm Robin, a year 12 student from Cambridgeshire offering tutoring services for humanities at GCSE, as previously listed. I have a passion for history (both modern and ancient), literature, and religion/theology, with my aspiration being the study of Theology and Religion at university. I enjoy teaching in these areas partially because of this passion for the subjects, and I am sure that I will be able to inspire a similar enthusiasm in any potential student, at whichever level of attainment or interest. During my own GCSEs, I personally studied the Living Under Nazi Rule, Making of America, People's Health, and Norman Conquest subjects, with my school's History Around Us site being St. Paul's Cathedral. These, therefore, are the subjects I will be able to teach content for, however for other subjects within the OCR-B course I will be able to provide essay and marked work feedback.

I will teach students in any of the selected subjects for any area of the GCSE specification which I am familiar with, including subject content and essay technique advice and marking. Students will be encouraged to explore areas of particular interest within the topic to develop an expert knowledge, allowing them to go beyond the curriculum to achieve top marks whilst having a full conceptual understanding of the specification. Lessons will typically range for an hour, with options for half-hour sessions if that is of greater convenience. These lessons are primarily for GCSE students at all levels, with aims of improving grades and inspiring a genuine interest in the topic of choice. I have had previous informal tutoring experience in English Literature to great success, with multiple students achieving top grades at GCSEs when they had fallen short of their expectations in mock exams. I personally achieved nine grade 9s at GCSE, and am studying Religious Studies, English Literature, and Ancient History at A-level.
