About Weronika
Hi my name is Weronika, I'm a current A Level student studying Spanish, Business studies & Media studies. As someone who is extremely passionate about languages & wants to continue them at university, I want to be able to help other students genuinely overcome their weaknesses, or knowledge gaps in order to gain confidence & be proud of themselves. Besides studying Spanish, I also speak English & Polish & I'm learning German. Apart from the language itself, I spend a lot of time learning about Spanish culture, listening to music or reading about pop culture. I truly believe learning languages is the best thing in the world! :)

- Exam technique
For example, within grammar we could focus on:
- feeling confident in conjugating tenses (Imperfect, Pluperfect, Perfect, Preterite, Present, Present continuous, Simple future, Future, Conditional, Subjunctive)
- understanding when to use the preterite vs. Imperfect
- understanding the difference between 'ser' & 'estar'
- understanding the importance of accents
- reflexive verbs
etc.
Within vocabulary we could focus on:
- looking at grade 9 phrases which you can apply to your writing & speaking exams
- what vocabulary to avoid & what to replace it with
- false friends
I've been studying Spanish for just over 4 years. Having started from scratch, I understand the hardships of learning & understanding how grammar works, therefore I see the benefits of having a tutor who not only understands these concepts but is also able to directly transfer this knowledge into exam practice. I have first-hand experience of sitting the AQA GCSE exams in 2 languages & AQA AS mocks, therefore I'm very confident in the layout of these exams & the different types of questions as well as the mark schemes. I'm excellent at clearly explaining challenging concepts following them up with examples & interactive practice. I'm also able to recommend resources you could use outside our tutoring sessions to further support your Spanish learning journey!
