About Ben
Hi there, my name is Ben and I am going into my second year at Oxford University to study Biology. I am very passionate about Biology and Chemistry and understand how difficult they can be to study inside and outside of school. However, with the right techniques and tricks (not cheating) sitting them in an exam becomes much easier. I am a swimming teacher alongside tutoring and love teaching. My tutoring style aims to build confidence in exam questions and build strong foundations of content knowledge. Improving these aspects of study allows synthesis and application skills to be developed for higher grades. Tutoring can be booked for 1 or 2 hour slots and flexible to your schedule. I strongly believe in interactive teaching and lessons will be engaging to ensure maximum retention. I have tutored both Biology and Chemistry at GCSE level before and am confident in teaching A-Level for both subjects, having achieved an A* grade in both and studying Biology at university. I also mentored younger years in these subjects at A Level whilst in school so have experience teaching A-Level. I have kept my wealth of resources which I used to prepare for my A-Levels which I will use to aid in teaching the lessons by making a lesson plan before the session. Any questions on how to revise and prepare for exams, I am well equipped to do. I recently lent my flashcards to a friend who took a gap year to re-sit Biology A-Level to get into Dentistry and he raised his grade from a B to an A*.
