About Jeanette
I have been tutoring children in various subjects for many years. I have tutored at elementary schools, Motivate Our Mimds, and through VIPKID. I was even an education director through Americorps for a Boys and Girls Club where I implemented an entire tutoring program for children aged 5 to 13. For the past year I have focused on tutoring non-native English speakers on speaking English and reading. I have a bachelor's degree from Ball State University.

I teach phonics, not alphabet letters. I focus on teaching the child how to hear blended sounds and how to blend them independently. My goal is to teach children how to read unfamiliar English words by learning the most common English sounds. The child will listen, speaks and analyze words and then short stories.

I have known Jeanette for over 25 years and have seen her interact with adults and children. Jeanette is very skilled with all children, especially those with special needs. She listens and cares about her students' concerns and turns all activities into opportunities to learn, either life lessons or academic lessons. She is a fantastic teacher.
I've known Jeanette since we were in preschool. Back then she was always teaching me things although we were only 3 months apart. She loves to learn and loves to teach others. I know from personal experience that it brings her joy. She is incredibly patient and not afraid to get silly. She's even taught her own child to read, spell and do double-digit math and I know some adults that can't do that. She is responsible, trustworthy, and dependable. To not hire this incredible compassionate young lady would be a disservice to your learning.
You are in phenomenal care with Jeanette as your tutor. She is so patient and a creative educator that teaches from the heart. Her warm spirit helps even the shy students feel comfortable. She has an undeniable desire to help you excel!
