About Melissa
Hi! I’m a Lecturer Fellow and biomedical researcher at Trinity College Dublin with a background in Molecular Medicine, Pharmacology, Biotechnology, and Translational Nanomedicine. Alongside my research work in cancer immunotherapy and advanced therapeutics, I have several years of experience teaching and supporting students across a range of science subjects, both 2nd and 3rd level.
I really enjoy helping students build confidence in science and making difficult topics feel much more manageable and approachable. My teaching style is friendly, supportive, and tailored to each student individually, with a strong focus on understanding concepts clearly rather than simply memorizing information.
I work with Junior Cycle, Leaving Cert, and undergraduate students in Biology, Chemistry, Biomedical Science, and Pharmacy-related subjects. Whether a student wants to improve confidence, boost grades, or aim for top marks, I aim to create a relaxed and encouraging learning environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and developing their skills.

I am a Lecturer Fellow and oncology researcher at Trinity College Dublin with extensive experience teaching science at undergraduate and postgraduate level. I provide personalized grinds in Leaving Cert Biology, Leaving Cert Chemistry, and Junior Cycle Science, tailored to each student’s learning style and academic goals. I am also available for undergraduate-level Biology, Biomedical Science, Pharmacy, Pharmacology, and Molecular Medicine support.
My lessons focus strongly on building understanding and exam confidence rather than memorization alone. I break down difficult concepts into clear, manageable sections and use past paper questions, revision techniques, and exam-focused strategies throughout sessions. I also help students improve scientific thinking, answering style, and time management for exams.
Lessons are suitable for Junior Cycle and Leaving Cert students of all abilities, whether aiming to improve grades, build confidence, or achieve top marks. Sessions are available online/Dublin area and are typically 1 hour in length.
