About Franky
"Live to speak right!" - More than 16 years experience of spoken (business/ formal) English with native speakers around the world. A self-taught, long time advocate of excellent communication in English, passionate about the language and teaching others speak right. Motivated purely by the love of the language and to impart/ share the right subject knowledge. After a decade of talking to and helping people who wished to improve their English, but were all on the wrong medium - chat sites, I seek to change that and bring people on the right path of learning - here with me.
Professional background - Total 15 years in the Information Technology domain in 3 industries - IT Services, Telecommunications and Advertising & Marketing. Last employment - Regional Technology Manager overseeing APAC operations. Overseas work experience in Marketing, in the MENA region.

The one thing I am most passionate about, after music and guitars; is spoken English. As those of whom that have studied, or have an interest in Anthropology or subsets of it, will agree; language has directly or indirectly influenced societies and their cultures throughout history. English, has become the most widely spoken language in the world, (British colonialism and the American culture influences) and today, Indians make up the largest non-native English speaking population on the planet. And the number of speakers grows by the season, owing to the mega shift from the physical to digital lifestyle and its benefits.
Language - like music - is a collection of sounds, with rules. The 'sounds' of English were passed down to us through our schools and other channels of learning; but unfortunately, the 'rules' were overlooked or dispensed with, somewhere long ago. Mainly because....
~> It is a foreign language,
~> We have our own mother-tongues, (21 regional & over 400 languages in total here!),
~> We were not taught by native speakers..........and
~> As a society we aligned to conform to the 'sounds' we grew up with.
Most of us are fluent speakers, because most of us have an education/ jobs, are readers/ writers or have other activity sources to learn from. But these sources, lack the emphasis and focus on the 'rules' of the 'sounds' of English. They fail to incite enough eagerness or courage, to overcome the conformity we are so bound to. Fluency does not correlate to speaking the language correctly -
~>Fluency = Ease of constructing sentences/ correct Grammar + minimal Vocabulary + basic Diction/ Cadence.
(Vocabulary = Knowledge of a variety of words/ phrases and their usage).
(Diction/ Cadence = style of speaking with choice of words, in a recognizable flow and syllable stress patterns).
~>Pronunciation rules = correct syllable stress and phonetic sounds (not to be confused with accents, which are only variances of phonetic sounds).
=>SPEAKING RIGHT = PRONUNCIATION RULES + Fluency.

Perfect! Franky is the best teacher, anyone could ask for. He has in-depth knowledge of English. He makes me feel comfortable and teaches things that I need to work on. A selfless teacher like him is hard to find these days. I am so grateful to learn from him.

Tutoring English is his passion and not a job. He makes learning English easy and fun. His classes are engaging. You wouldn't even notice how fast the time will pass. I was so lucky to find his classes.
