About Michiel
I am a figurative artist and have always been interested in the different methods and techniques to come to a work of art. In addition, I ask the questions what is art? What is the purpose of art? How is it made? And where do I find inspiration? Before I became a visual artist I graduated in industrial design (WO), where I learned technical drawing from the best technical draftsman in the world (Koos Eissen), perspective drawing and the realistic rendering of all kinds of possible ideas and materials. I also have two certificates: Perspective 1 and Anatomy of the CGMA. And a lot of experience with model drawing and painting.

My teaching method is practice-oriented, you develop a work of art yourself and gradually learn which methods and techniques are available to achieve that. Every lesson there is the possibility to get to know a new technique, in addition to that a method and some theory lessons are taught regardless of that technique. Topics of this are: Color theory, Perspective, Subject finding, Composition and the principles of Anatomy. After a brief introduction to the content of the lesson. If we get to work on the topics, the aim is to involve this directly in our final end topic. At the end of the lessons you have your own artwork created!

Michiel is een zeer gedreven en ervaren docent die alles in het werk stelt om anderen kennis en vaardigheden aan te leren m.b.t tekenen/schilderen.
Hij is iemand die passie voor het vakgebied heeft en dit maar al te graag wil overbrengen.
Bij Michiel ben je dus absoluut aan het juiste adres aangezien hij alles eraan doet om de stof duidelijk te maken. Hij begeleidt je op een intensieve manier en voor vragen kan je te allen tijde bij hem terecht.
Michiel houdt verder ook goed rekening met de beschikbaarheid van zijn leerlingen. Hij stemt dit goed af, waardoor het erg prettig is om lessen bij hem te volgen.
