About Pedro
I am a seasoned developer currently working for a multinational elevator company as a critical-system software engineer, deploying
products that interact with millions of users in over 100 countries. Academically, I have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, with a master's degree and a PhD in Electronic Engineering and Computer Science.
I have experience in the international market, having worked in companies in the USA and in Brazil, with clients from all over the world. I have developed software for ground and underwater unmanned vehicles, both autonomous and non-autonomous. I have also already developed performant web microservices for high-demand operations. This experience allows me to show students how simple concepts learned in the classroom become useful tools in real life.
One may ask why I started giving lessons, and I like to say the answer is twofold. On the one hand, I can help other people to succeed in their careers, while at the same time, I always keep fresh topics that I probably wouldn't revisit frequently. On my side, I have the opportunity to always interact with interesting people all the time. At the end, this is a win-win situation that keeps me motivated.

My method of teaching has three main steps:
- to check the true difficulty of the student,
- develop study plans to be followed at home,
- and elucidating doubts in classes.
My classes tend to have a colloquial structure, where the time we spend together is divided between closing the gaps in the current knowledge of the student and discussing solutions for problems and exercises. In short, I act as a tutor who guides the student and provides answers to their doubts, so that the learning rate is up to the student.
I teach only older students, from high school and above, even graduate matters (if it is within my competence, of course). For video lessons, I have a multimedia aid where the student visualizes my screen, and I can handwrite and hand-draw to improve the visualization.
