About Moyrah
I have been working with students in the middle to adult levels for about five years, and have achieved varied results. I have taught large classes of over 20 students and small classes of about ten. I have also done individual teaching in person and by computer.
I have had adult students pass the ASVAB test and increased their scores, and I have had middle school students improve their writing and comprehension skills in class and on state tests.

I currently teach Social Studies to 7th grade students. I have a BS in English with a minor in History, and I also have a MAT in Middle grades Language Arts. I have also taught ELA to 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students in a special motivational program.
I have taught ABE pre-GED classes to adults through a continued learning program and the ASVAB to military personnel through a community school program. In both instances I have planned lessons using materials from the programs, and also administered tests.
In the middle school setting, I have followed the curriculum and standards for the subject as a guideline for planning lessons, and have used various strategies to ensure learning based on the students' varied learning styles and abilities.
I have also done private one-on-one tutoring with middle grade and adult students in basic math and Arithmetic.
