About Raphael
I’m a backend engineer and software builder passionate about helping people understand how real-world software is designed, built, and scaled.
I teach software development in a practical, project-driven way, with a strong focus on JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, backend engineering, APIs, databases, system design, and software architecture.
My approach is simple: I don’t want you to memorise code. I want you to understand why things work, how to think like an engineer, and how to build software that can survive beyond a tutorial.

My approach to teaching programming is simple: less theory, more building.
I focus on helping my students understand how things work by guiding them through real-world projects, not just explaining concepts. Instead of overwhelming you with information, I break everything down into clear, practical steps so you can actually apply what you learn immediately.
Each lesson is structured to move you forward:

My teaching style is interactive; you won’t just watch, you will code, make mistakes and improve with guidance.
Lessons typically last 1 to 2 hours, depending on your pace and level. I also provide support outside of class to help you stay consistent and never get stuck.
