My guitar teaching approach is hands-on, structured, and creative. I guide students from the basics of open chords and power chords to advanced fingerstyle techniques. Lessons are designed to improve finger dexterity, build muscle memory, and develop a natural playing flow. I place strong emphasis on ergonomic technique to avoid strain and encourage long-term playing comfort.
Each session blends practical skills with music theory, including Roman Numeral Chord Nomenclature for a deeper understanding of songs and composition. I use ear training exercises to sharpen listening and help students play by ear. Whether you're strumming simple rhythms or performing intricate fingerstyle pieces, I tailor the lessons to your goals.
For those leading worship or composing their own music, I provide the structure and tools to bring your vision to life. Students often learn through real songs, chord progressions, and layered exercises that build confidence and joy. I also include play-along tracks and jam sessions to apply skills in a musical context. My teaching style is patient, motivating, and adaptable.
