About Miles
I’m a dedicated guitar tutor with over 12 years of experience teaching students from all walks of life. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Guitar Studies, which gave me a strong foundation in both performance and composition. Music has always been more than just a skill to me—it's a lifelong journey of creativity, expression, and personal growth. In addition to teaching, I regularly perform and compose, keeping my own musical journey active and inspired. This real-world experience allows me to bring fresh perspectives and techniques into every lesson. I work with both complete beginners and advanced musicians, tailoring each session to fit individual goals and interests. My teaching is rooted in the belief that anyone can learn guitar with the right guidance and encouragement. I emphasize strong fundamentals, musicality, and creative exploration. Whether it’s strumming your first chord or mastering a complex solo, I support my students every step of the way. Lessons are dynamic, structured, and fun, blending technical practice with creative play. I strive to make each session a space where students feel motivated and free to express themselves. Helping others discover the joy of music is one of the most rewarding parts of my journey.

My guitar teaching approach is all about helping students grow with confidence and enjoyment. I start by understanding their current level, goals, and musical interests. Whether you’re a complete beginner or have experience, I create a personalized learning path that suits your pace and style.
I focus strongly on rhythm practice and groove development, as they are the foundation of great guitar playing. We work on keeping steady tempo, using a metronome and fun backing tracks to develop timing and control. My lessons include exercises that build muscle memory and finger coordination gradually.
Students also learn to adapt across different musical styles like blues, funk, and folk. I break these styles down into easy-to-learn strumming and picking patterns. For those who enjoy group settings or lead music at gatherings, I help develop skills that make playing feel natural and expressive.
I give special attention to strumming patterns, chord transitions, and learning how to carry a song confidently from start to finish. Each session is practical, with jam-style playalongs and real song practice.
Most importantly, I encourage creativity and passion. My goal is to make you not just a player, but a true music lover.
