About Helene
**안녕하세요! Hi, everyone! I'm IM, your Korean tutor! **
I'm Taiwanese and have spent nearly four years living in South Korea, where I studied and worked in Korean-speaking environments.
I completed postgraduate studies in a sociology-related field, with all my classes conducted in Korean. I also worked for two years at a Korean company in Seoul, working with Korean, Japanese and Chinese as a translator.
Through my experience living, studying and working in Korea, I've developed a strong understanding of the Korean language, culture and everyday communication.
I've also helped students with TOPIK preparation and Korean language learning, using my own teaching materials, including customised PowerPoint presentations, vocabulary notes and Word documents.
Beyond language learning, I have a strong interest in Korean culture, humanities, philosophy, history, politics, literature and society. Whether you're interested in K-pop, K-dramas, Korean novels, webtoons or social issues, I'd love to help you explore Korean culture through language.
My goal is to help you understand not only **what to say in Korean, but also how and why people use it in real-life situations.**
