About Luis
I learned to play chess at 12, I would have loved to play since I was younger. During my childhood I participated in multiple national tournaments representing my state as its champion.
I traveled and competed within Mexico during my teens.
After that I founded a chess club in my high school and taught to play to whoever was interested. My love for chess is so great that I managed to transmit it to that club. Seeing every little progress in my friends and remembering what it felt like in each tournament, each time I made it home with a medal hanging around my neck. I relived the magic of chess in me.
That was what led me to want to teach.
I firmly believe that chess is a powerful tool for human beings as it helps us to use reasoning.
I am convinced that if more people played chess step by step we would create a better society, fairer and in which we all think before acting.
