About Emily
I’m an Occupational Therapist with experience supporting learning, memory, organization, and study skills across a range of learners. I have a strong background in English and science (including anatomy and biochemistry), and I enjoy helping students make sense of complex material in clear, manageable ways.
My approach is student-centered and supportive. I value curiosity, clarity, and creating a calm space where students feel comfortable asking questions and thinking out loud. I’m especially interested in helping middle school, high school, and college students build confidence and independence in their learning.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, learning style, and current challenges. I begin by understanding what the student is working on and how they typically study, then adjust my approach to meet their needs.
For English, I support reading comprehension, writing, and organization by breaking assignments into clear steps and practicing strategies students can use independently. For science (up to chemistry), I focus on building strong conceptual understanding and connecting ideas rather than memorization alone.
I also incorporate evidence-based study strategies, memory techniques, and planning tools to help students feel more organized and confident over time. Sessions are structured but flexible, with an emphasis on clarity, encouragement, and practical takeaways.
