About Janet
I am a qualified Graphic Design, UI, and UX Design professional with multiple degrees and over 10 years of industry experience. Throughout my career, I have worked with small creative studios, international companies, non-profit organizations (NPOs), and one of South Africa’s largest corporate companies. This diverse background has given me a strong understanding of how design functions across different industries, audiences, and business goals.
My expertise focuses on visual communication, user interface design, and user experience design, helping brands and individuals create effective, modern, and engaging digital experiences. I specialize in design principles, branding, layout, wireframing, prototyping, and industry-standard tools such as Figma, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator.
I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and helping others build practical, job-ready design skills. My teaching approach is beginner-friendly, structured, and hands-on, ensuring students gain confidence and create strong portfolio work. I focus purely on design, meaning no coding or development is required or taught.
