About Miah
I'm Miah Palmer, a professional drummer and author with 30+ years of real-world experience spanning rock, blues, funk, and everything in between. I've performed on live television, opened for artists like Steve Vai and L.A. Guns, and worked alongside Grammy-nominated producers — and now I bring that experience directly to my students. I teach drummers of all levels, from absolute beginners picking up sticks for the first time to advanced players looking to sharpen their technique, timing, and musicality. My approach is patient, practical, and tailored to each student's goals, whether that's learning your favorite songs, building a solid foundation, or preparing for professional work. Perfect! Great teacher, I can tell I still have a lot to learn but I felt comfortable and in good hands with Miah. Excited to learn under their guidance as their experience and knowledge really shows.
- Angel is brand new to playing music, yet seems like a natural. After 15 minutes she's already playing 8th on the hi hats and quarters on the kick drum with no prior experience on the drums. Looking forward to seeing what the musical future holds for her.Miah's response :

Perfect! Miah was just was I was looking for, within minutes of the lesson I already felt comfortable and was learning things about the drums I never knew existed and could only be demonstrated in person. No question was a dumb one and he answered everything I asked. I learned a lot from our 1st lesson and have some homework to do and looking forward to learning more from him.
