I am a native French teacher, with several years of experience teaching all ages and levels. I am also fluent in English, Spanish and (less so) in Brazilian Portuguese, and am teaching in these three languages (although my Portuguese is still a work in progress!)
In my classes, I focus on material that is understandable and easy to translate for the learner based on their own prior knowledge... even if that knowledge of French itself is zero.
For example, how much of the following sentence do you understand?
"Plus de 60% de votre vocabulaire anglais est d'origine française."
Basing your learning off your own prior knowledge and deduction skills will give you a very solid foundation in language learning. Together we will expand that knowledge little by little by reading and listening to short stories, watching videos, practicing speaking with an emphasis on pronunciation, and a LOT of repetition to make sure nothing gets forgotten!

Lily is a great French teacher. She focuses lessons around the skills I want to learn and gives extra context to help me understand and remember things like grammar rules or nuanced vocabulary. She speaks several languages, so she's able to help me learn French by referencing Spanish as well as English, since I speak both. She's also been very flexible and kind, accommodating a time zone difference in planning lessons and working with me to create a structure that works well for me.
Lily is an astonishing teacher always helping me to understand how the languages works doesn't matter if is in English or French.
Lily is very attentive to what and how I'm saying sentences and encourage me to say that right, she is tireless when comes to pointing me in the right direction and challenging me to improve more.
