About Mia
I have a Professional Licentiate in Speech and Drama. I lived in Mauritius for 3 years and started teaching English to the locals. I loved it, I have subsequently completed TEFL and also have certificates in Business English as Assessor and Moderator.
I have been teaching English to professional people and wrote workshops for Client Service, Telephone Techniques and Presentations.
I love people, travelling and want to teach online so that it will give me the freedom to teach from wherever I am.
I have my own website and have a registered business, English Multilevel Communication. I taught for a year in China.
I feel forever young!

I make sure that I establish the needs and levels of the student. Why do they want to learn English? I believe that supporting my students to gain confidence is the key to success.
My students are from young professionals to the mature, successful and established learner who whish to improve their English for a number of reasons. This is mainly for communication purposes, orally or written communication.
I start my lessons with a friendly chat and make new words part of this introduction to the lesson.
I am structured but also flexible and adapt my lesson plan as new questions or needs arise.
I am very good with grammar explaining and giving of examples.
I make sure that my students really learn and improve with every English lesson which is planned around their world and their job and skills.
I am enthusiastic and make sure that my students feel and act the same way. I give homework according to your availability and to ensure that you do not forget what you have learned during your lesson. The next lesson will also include a review of your homework so that my students can see and hear the result of the previous lesson. Feedback is important.
