Classroom Atmosphere:
It's kind of like in Kindergarten when you had table friends, you'll work with other students (iron-sharpens-iron) in small groups to create a project.
But not a "Hand-Turkey" or "group-project" project either. A project you'll be proud of when we're through (cause of project-based learning).
The classes will use small groups of 3 or 4 cause chatting with like-minded individuals can be fun. Introverts, we'll help you out but remember, TTRPGs are a collaborative process. These small groups will mix-up with different people periodically. There is still no more than 11 total people in the class. The instructor rotates through the small groups during live sessions, working with each group personally for the majority of the session in addition to valuable and short live videos explaining key concepts. Those will not take up valuable educational time.
It's kind of like an art classroom when everyone had to share and people reserve judgment as they learn to develop positive and meaningful feedback.
And like a collegiate laboratory where the instructor has real expertise with evidence-based practices and can help you understand the nuances of intricate details as well as broad-stroke generalization for understanding, and is excited and passionate to share!
Homework Load:
Yikes to Brutal! Listen, you want to get good at golf, swing the club. You want to get good at singing, match the pitch. You want to get good at math, do the problem sets. You want to get better at swimming, act like a duck... and get in the water.
You want to get good at Game Design, this homework will be a lot of fun. This isn't trivial busywork. But if you're like, super swamped right now, I'm not giving grades at the end, just listen and participate during the class times and you'll still learn a ton.
