About Rinky
I am Rinky Abraham, a computer science master's student as well as a full-time software professional with 5 years of experience. I hail from India and have always been a firm believer that everything is better when shared. I am super excited to be able to share my professional and personal experiences in a learning environment to help students thrive in their universities or simply expand their skills to solve complex problems through elegant Python and R code. As any good learning requires a strong foundation and meeting of expectations, my teaching style involves tailoring the course to the student's needs and spending more time on the concepts they wish to refine. In addition, I enjoy creative tasks like planning, organizing, conducting gap analysis and wish to bring some of these strengths into my classes along with my technical expertise to keep things interesting and make learning fun for all.

If you find yourself trying to conduct some analysis on any datasets and you don't know where to start, especially if you don't have any experience programming, this is the place for you! It includes high school students, students looking to start their undergraduate studies and students looking to expand their Python skills with no computer science background.
I have been in the tech industry for 5 years professionally, also received my undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering and towards graduating with a master's degree in Computer Science this May.
My teaching style includes introducing concepts first - making sure the foundations are strong, proceeding with implementation techniques - giving enough examples such that it is second nature and finally conducting tests - to reinforce the learning and practice assignments earlier.
My lesson plan would first involve having an introductory session on gathering the requirements of the students on what their goals are - if they want to be prepared for a test /exam or they continually want to improve their skills. Once the expectation is set, the second session will involve going over the plan of the classes and making sure that they are comfortable with it, the third session will be when the official classes will start.

There are many things she does well such as listening, being prepared and getting things accomplished. I was surprised at how well I was able to gain information about something I know nothing about so quickly! I have signed up for more sessions! She even gives me homework outside of the sessions and has a game plan which is helpful for me as a student!
