About Georgina
Welcome to my little studio, I'm Georgina a qualified Art and Design teacher with a passion for design, drawing and product making.
I have been drawing and creating since I was young, I remember being fascinated at how aspects like shading and perspective made such a huge difference. It was at college I discovered the joy of turning drawings into design, and designs into products-especially fabrics.
Qualifications
-BA in Textile Design (focus on print making): London Metropolitan University
-QTS-PGCE in Secondary Design & Technology (Textile Design)
I spent 4 years teaching both Textile design and Art in secondary schools so I can support students in exam preparation also.

I love helping people become more confident in their skills and their own unique form of expression.
What do you teach?
I like to work through the basics of art practice step by step so students can see how the drawing, and their own skills develop over time. This can then progress into exploring perspectives for more complex illustration.
I am also happy to teach the essentials of printmaking, from different methods such as lino and screen to the principles of creating a design suitable for repeating patterns.
I also love to create products to showcase our art so we can explore items together such as cards, pop-ups and more.
What is your experience?
I completed a Bachelors Degree in Textile Design for Products and Interiors (with a specialism in printmaking), this was followed by my PGCE in Secondary Design & Technology Education with The University of Cambridge. I also spent time teaching Art with a focus on key stage 3.
Who are your lessons for?
My lessons are for everyone looking to learn more about the basics and the next steps. My experience is with students aged 11-16 however younger children and adults are also welcome.
