About Claudia

My name is Claudia, and I am an UX & UI Designer.
To put it simply, I am responsible for the graphic design of digital products and for conveying positive emotions to users by offering an easy-to-use, intuitive and ergonomic interface.
But we're not here to talk about design, are we?

I tell you a little more about my background here:

I graduated from the Sorbonne-Nouvelle with a license in Applied Foreign Languages (called LEA in French) in English and German.

Following that, I also graduated with a master's degree in strategy and business management and a master's degree in strategic marketing, during which I obtained the TOEIC (Test Of English for International Communication) with a score of 980 out of 990.
Then, I finished my studies with a degree in UX Design to be able to do the job that I like.

Why do I teach English?

I love this language. Besides, it has always been my favorite subject at school!
It is such a rich language with a certain simplicity (especially in terms of grammar, for example!).
Thanks to this language, I was able to do an internship as a bilingual receptionist in a 3 * hotel in Paris as part of my license.
But above all I was able to travel and go to New York, an unforgettable experience!
It is also so nice to be able to read in English, watch movies / series and listen to podcasts or just radio in that language!
I am empathetic by nature, so I like to share what I know with others, always in a simple and fun way!

What I like to do in life:

- I like creative activities like painting, jewelry creation and drawing
- I also like sport, yoga and everything related to well-being
- I also like to travel to keep beautiful memories!

If you are here, it means that you are on the right path to become better at English and that is already the beginning of success!

Empathetic by nature, I will pass on my methods to you to progress in a stable manner, to be more confident and autonomous.

Why English? It is a language that I appreciate for its simplicity and its necessity, especially when traveling, but not only!
You can watch a movie or series with English before it becomes available in French, play a video game before its release in France, make English-speaking friends, and much more!

My courses are based on five pillars, which seem important to me:

- motivation and playfulness thanks to playful activities,
- immersion with scenarios,
- comprehension: questions / answers, necessary time taken,
- taking notes,
- regularity, which is the secret of success

IMPORTANT - during the first lesson, I will discuss with the student to know his goals, strengths, difficulties, and quite simply the elements that he would like to review during our lessons.
If he wishes, he can also share with me old tests / exams so that we can see together the points to improve.
I also invite the student to get a notebook that he will devote to English lessons!

Here is how my lesson will be:

1) The student tells his weekend or any other event he wishes and can also ask me his questions concerning words / sentences or any other element that he would have seen or heard (in a film for example) and on which he needs more

2) The student and I together correct the exercise given in the previous lesson.
The pupil takes notes in a notebook devoted to English that I strongly recommend having from the first lesson!
If the exercise and the previous lesson have been correctly assimilated by the pupil, then we can move on to the next course.
If not, we will dig deeper until the student understands and feels ready to move on to a new lesson.

3) The student chooses the lesson for the day among several that I will suggest.
Example lesson 1: the difference between anything and something
Example lesson 2: describing a person in English
Example lesson 3: expressing the possibility with CAN, COULD and BE ABLE TO

4) The pupil performs an exercise on the lesson of the day from a playful medium to make it interesting and amusing: videos, images, podcast, etc.

5) We come back to the exercise together.
The student is always invited to share his questions with me at any time!

6) A small homework assignment (always fun) is given to the pupil at the end of the lesson for the next session.

My lessons are aimed at college students, from 6th to 3rd.

Thank you in advance and have a good day / evening!
