About Marissa
In June of 2020 I graduated from UC Davis with a major in Managerial Economics and minor in Spanish. I have provided writing assistance to numerous students over the course of my degree, and am versed in all types of writing (ex. professional writing, academic writing, comparative literature, political writing, editing, etc.) I also have extensive experience in the college application process and the law school admissions process, and am happy to assist a student in this regard.

I have developed many strategies to help students become better writers. My goal is to help students edit and construct their essays in a way that will develop their writing skills in the long term. By doing this, students will be able to write a solid essay on the first draft, and spend far less time on revisions and edits. I will also spend plenty of time proofreading a students work and crafting their essays to be academically strong. I firmly believe that every student is capable of success.
Finally, if a student is in need of help throughout any type of admissions process, I am here to help. If I have learned anything from the application cycle, it is that everyone needs someone who has already been through it. I know how difficult personal statements can be, but I genuinely believe that every student has the potential to write one they are proud of. With my help, we can make sure that the students application is as strong as possible.
