About Amhra
I am a second year law student in Trinity College Dublin and I ranked 2/107 in my first year of studies. Every day in college I use the English language to achieve very specific goals and communicate specific ideas. From this I have gained an understanding of the importance of precision in language and language learning. My knowledge in this area has translated to job applications and CVs, where language must be used to sell oneself succinctly, and to debate and oration, where language must be combined with performance to achieve something special. In all of these instances I have utilised a great basis in language that I gained in part due to my secondary school studies, where I achieved a distinction in Junior Cert English and a H2 in Leaving Cert English. My interest in tutoring specifically comes from my secondary school days where I was lucky enough to avail of tutoring from a Trinity Student, the dialogue established in these one on one lessons helped me find a voice, and I don't think I would be where I am today without them. I would love the opportunity to do the same for another student.

Lessons are one on one and take a personalised approach. The course of study will begin, first and foremost, with an appraisal of the needs and goals of the student: once these are identified, and any necessary accomodations made, a comprehensive growth plan is created. This plan will then be followed in the lessons which will involve, as much as possible, a dialogue between teacher and student which seeks to being out the strengths of the student and he students own voice. Results are tracked according to the plan created earlier.
